Wood's Body Goods is Expanding!
Wood's Body Goods is Expanding!
Hi, my name is Chris Wood and I'm the Founder and CEO of Wood's Body Goods. I'd like to tell you about a dream that I want you to be a part of!
First of all, I want to thank you for being a part of our adventure from the very beginning. Back in 2014, you played a huge role in helping us acquire larger production space. Because of that, we were able to get our products into some more stores and we were also recognized by the Abex and Sabex Award committees where we were finalists three times! We couldn't have done any of that without you! Thank you.
We want you to be a part of this next step as well.
Recently, we were asked by a large company to provide a quote for tens of thousands of beer soaps. This would have been awesome except that it would have taken us half a year to produce because of a lack of efficient equipment, and because of slow production, our prices are higher compared to others in the industry. We lost the sale.
Canadian companies want to support local but often it's the timeline and price that force business away from Saskatchewan and into other provinces, the US or overseas.
We produce our products in a sustainable manner. Much of our packaging is biodegradable if not recyclable. We support Canadian companies and we're creating jobs. Next month, we're going tree-planing up in northern SK.
Our dream is to bring our company to the next level and keep more business in Saskatchewan. With better equipment, we will be able to fill more orders, create more jobs, and continue creating green products.
We want you to be a part of our adventure!
You can help by spreading the word on social media and by e-mail, and by choosing a gift from our list on the right. We have some pretty generous businesses on board, so there is something for everyone's tastes. We really want to make it a win win where you not only help but you get something awesome in return.
We promise to keep you posted on updates and to invite you to the events we have coming up. We also have some surprises along the way that we're getting excited about already!
Thank you for being there and for being a part of our story.
BE HAPPY; HAVE FUN; AND ALWAYS BE NATURAL!
"As Senior Account Manager for a Canadian marketing company, I reached out to Wood's Body Goods to request a quote for a rather high volume order of beer soap. After reviewing the project, they indicated that they would need to invest in additional equipment to be able to meet our budget & timeframe. I always like to work with local companies whenever possible, however given the project budgets we often work with, ordering products abroad is how we can remain competitive with our client’s requests. I would love to be able to support Wood's Body Goods with large orders and look forward to them adding capacity so they can be competitive with international suppliers."

"I believe that when a company supports local, cares for the environment, and creates jobs, we all benefit."

SK Living Green Expo
We kicked off the SK Living Green Expo, the first event of our crowdfund, with an appearance on CTV.
We loved meeting local green-thinkers and hearing your enthusiasm about what we’re trying to accomplish.
Thank you for your amazing support at this event!
Big Brothers Big Sisters Wood's Wellness Spa Party
We've Been Busy!
We have been busy in and around Saskatoon with Bear Bookings and Spa Party Bookings!
We were invited to Dinsmore Composite School to make Mother’s Day gifts with some eager Kindergarten and Grade 1 students. Woody made a grand appearance after all the gifts were made and packaged!
Next, a DIY spa party was given to the guests of West Side Clinic’s Oasis Drop In. The women loved learning how to make their own products using things found in your own kitchen!
Our crowdfunding event at Somewhere Else Pub and Grill was great fun! Thank you to those who were able to come out to show your support!
Unfortunately, our tree-planting initiative has been put on hold by the organizers, due to an unforeseen problem with the supplier. This option has since been removed from our crowdfund and we hope to go tree-planting at another point in time this year.
Woody has made appearances all over Saskatoon, including at the Better Good, Sangster’s in Center Mall, Dad’s Organic Market, and he has been seen parading himself around Broadway.
Thank you for being a part of our adventure!
